Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Singleton CE Primary School

On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governing Body, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Singleton CE Primary School.

Our small, rural school is nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park, providing a beautiful and inspiring setting in which children can learn, grow, and flourish. Situated at the centre of our village community, we benefit greatly from the strong support of local families, parish groups, and the wider community.

At Singleton, our vision is underpinned by a simple yet powerful ethos:

  • We reflect Christian values in the everyday life of our school.
  • We strive to provide high-quality education and care within a compassionate and nurturing community.
  • We support children to feel happy, secure, and respected, enabling them to become confident, motivated learners.
  • We provide engaging, creative learning opportunities and wider experiences that allow every child to flourish academically, personally, and spiritually.
  • We work collaboratively with parents and carers to enrich and enhance the education of our children.

We are proud of all that our school achieves and, whilst delighted with our positive OFSTED inspection in April 2023 and SIAMs report in June 2026, we remain committed to continuous improvement. Through ongoing research, reflection, innovation, and professional development, we continually seek to provide the very best educational experiences for every child in our care.

Learning Together: Our Partnership with Boxgrove CE Primary School

Singleton CE Primary School is proud to be part of a close Learning Partnership with Boxgrove CE Primary School. By working together, both schools benefit from shared expertise, resources, and opportunities, while maintaining the unique character and identity that makes each school special.

This partnership brings many advantages for both children and staff, including:

  • Enhanced learning opportunities for pupils through shared projects, educational visits, enrichment activities, and collaborative events.
  • Greater social opportunities for children to build friendships, develop confidence, and work alongside a wider group of peers.
  • Professional collaboration for staff, enabling teachers and support staff to share best practice, develop innovative teaching approaches, and learn from one another.

By learning and working together, we are able to strengthen educational outcomes, broaden opportunities, and create an even richer experience for every member of our school community.

Singleton is a wonderful place for children to learn, and we are incredibly proud of our school. We warmly encourage prospective parents and visitors to come and experience our beautiful grounds, exciting learning environment, and the enthusiasm of our fantastic children and dedicated staff. We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
