Theresa Smyth |
Headteacher |
Prior to this headship, I worked in 4 schools in London and West Sussex. I am married, have 4 children and live in Chichester - but was born in the seaside capital of the north - Blackpool! I love to spend time walking at the beach and occasionally, when perfect weather prevails - have been known to swim! |

Jackie Hayes | Parent Governor and Chair | I am married and have 2 grown up sons and a younger daughter. I have been an insurance manager for 24 years and help run a local family insurance brokers. I instantly fell in love with Singleton School, and have a passion for making it the best that it can be. | |
Janet Holt |
Foundation Governor and Vice Chair |
I am the grandmother of 4 grandchildren currently at Singleton school. I went to Singleton as did most of my children, and love the family feel of our small but beautifully formed school. We have a great governing team, and together we pool our skills and resources to ensure the children and staff have the support to be the very best they can be. |

Mrs Emi Greene |

I have taught in West Sussex since 2013 and have worked in primary education across all key stages before moving to Singleton CofE where I embarked upon my journey and passion as a SENCo. I am married, have a family of two young children, two pet rabbits and love living in the beautiful West Sussex countryside |
|
Richard Murfitt |
LA Governor |
Before retiring in 2017 I had a varied career working in schools in London, Surrey and West Sussex. I spent many years also working in the construction industry. I live in Singleton and have two daughters and six grandchildren . |
|
Helen Morris |
Foundation Governor |
I grew up in Singleton, taught Spanish and Drama in U.K, English in Zimbabwe and was a City Councillor in New Zealand before spending the final 15 years of my working life as a psychiatric nurse. Raising a large family of home grown, adopted and foster children gave me a huge appreciation of how Primary education attempted to meet the needs of each of my children. |
|
Avril Sargent |
Co-opted Governor |
I moved from the Lake District, when I was 5 years old and now live in Chichester with John, my partner of over 40 years. We have 2 daughters, and 3 grandchildren, who are a joyful part of our lives. I have worked in Youth Services, Outdoor Pursuits, and The Princes Trust, before turning to accounting. My love of mountains has taken me to the Base of Everest, The Alps and of course back to The Lake District. |
